I keep trying to get my son to be a good boy. I want him to be polite, and courteous, but there is this whole anti-establishment movement going on, where nobody wants to do anything that's the right thing anymore.
I consider myself fairly liberal, I am a firm believer in the Bill of Rights. I also believe that being liberal doesn't mean I have to stop being a good person. The conservatives in this country are trying to make it out like liberals want anarchy. Government sponsored anarchy, which is a contradiction in terms, but that's what they think. I want fairness and equality for every person in this country. (Not every person who just happens to show up, but every person who is here legally.) I want people to stop being such greedy pigs, and go back to old fashioned ways of "help your neighbor". Is it so much to ask of people to stop being SO selfish? Wait, it is too much, because what's mine is mine, and you can't have any.
